Mafuluto footbridge

Mwanza Region, Tanzania

The proposed Ruaha River Footbridge will prevent many lives being lost while attempting to cross the Little Ruaha River during the 5 months of high river flows each year. in 2022 two children died when the canoe they were in capsized. There are crocodiles and hippos in the river.

The year-round easy crossing of the river will also increase trade between the villages bordering the river thus improving livelihoods, and ease access to local services located across the river. Mafuluto on the west bank and Luganga on the east bank are the two nearby villages who have requested
help with a footbridge.
