The Entrepreneurship Project aims to empower individuals and communities through sustainable economic development. At the heart of the project is a commitment to equipping people with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to build resilient livelihoods and improve their quality of life.
A key element of the project is entrepreneurial education, helping participants develop the skills and confidence needed to start and grow small businesses. The project also supports the establishment of Village Community Banks (VICOBA), community-based savings and loan groups that enable members to purchase shares, build savings, and access affordable credit. These groups provide a sustainable source of financial support, helping families and small business owners become more resilient in the face of business challenges, crop failures, and the effects of climate change.
In addition, the project offers interest-free loans to underserved grassroots entrepreneurs, enabling them to invest in small business development and generate a reliable source of income. As businesses grow and loans are repaid, the funds are recycled through a revolving loan system, allowing new groups of entrepreneurs to benefit from the same opportunities year after year.
Alongside economic empowerment, the project seeks to nurture spiritual growth through the distribution of Bibles and encouragement within local churches.
The project includes ongoing monitoring and evaluation to ensure participants receive the support they need throughout the loan period and beyond. Success is measured not only by loan repayment, but also by the ability of participants to generate consistent profits and establish sustainable livelihoods. Through this holistic approach, the project is helping individuals, families, and communities build a stronger and more hopeful future.
